Geocache Description:

The Nowelo Bridge opened in 1999 linking the Universty of Hawaii at Hilo with the it's Science and Technology Park.

While walking down Newelo Street after a big rain, I always pause at this spot to admire the stream running down the drainage canal to the ocean. A part of me always wishes that the river could be a permanent part of the landscape because of it power and beauty. if you are ever lucky enough to see it, you would agree.

The cache is a micro-cache located somewhere around this bridge. If you go to the Imiloa side you went too far. This should be a quick and easy grab for most, but be alert and use stealth because a guard shack and UHH security are near by.

As always please make sure the cache is secure and place it back. exactly as you found it.

BYOP, there is only a log in the cache.

While you're down in the UHH area, please vist the other 15 or so geocahes....after all it's geocache central.
