Geocache Description:

Actinium was discovered by Andre Debierne in 1899 at France. Its name originates from the Greek aktinos "ray". Actinium is dangerously radioactive; found naturally in uranium ores, it is 150 times more radioactive than radium. Its chemical behaviour is similar to that of the rare earths, particularly lanthanum. Source: Webelements
