Geocache Description:

Another Select few series-Pandora was, according to the myth, the first women on Earth. She was created as a punishment to mankind. Pandora was giving a box. The gods told her that the box contained special gifts from them and not to open the box ever. So that's my story of pandoras box. It's ok to unlock this box if you dare...

Cache is NOT at the listed coordinates, it will bring you to the remnants of the old Steel plants front-door, which opened it's doors in 1915. But your adventure doesn't start there, your close tho.. I want you to expand your horizons, South/West-of Duluth, and go were only the locals know about, and where the tourists only dream of encountering...  So come along and see where this journey takes you... For this cache (unlocking pandora's box) there is a combination master lock on the cache and to get the combination you will have to find my other cache "SELECT FEW SLIPPERY WHEN WET"- GC3Y32R and write down the 3 numbers from inside this homemade cache container. GZ is only a short hike away from "SLIPPERY WHEN WET" It has your coordinates and the only clue don't take the container with you please! This mystery cache is only for those interested in ADVENTURE! All others might want to try a nice "Park-n-Grab" cache in the parking lot nearbye! This cache should be a real challenge for even the seasoned cachers. FTF- My signature items an old buffalo nickel & a polished Lake Superior agate. You will be on public land all the way. Please park in the designated parking lots on Becks road, once you've gathered your magic #'s.  No special equipment is required, just whatever you brought to get to this first stage, determination is a must! The 5 of you who completed/remember my last pandoras box, congratulations you've earned It. I'm sad to say, it is now archived. But this final will be more accessible, compared to your last adventure..."The reason for the 4 1/2 star rating is; most cachers will have to depend on their feet, and 2 middle fingers to reach this cache. You'll thank me later... :) Trust yourself and your judgment. I salute you truly INSANE individuals that can actually make this trip into my Pandora's box. Cache-on everyone-Sk8erfamily!!!

Once upon a time, a very long time ago, Zeus ordered Hephaestus (Aphrodite's husband) to make him a daughter. It was the first woman made out of clay. Hephaestus made a beautiful woman and named her Pandora. Zeus sent his new daughter, Pandora, down to earth so that she could marry Epimetheus, who was a gentle but lonely man. Zeus was not being kind. He was getting even. Epimetheus and Prometheus were brothers. Zeus was mad at one of the brothers, Prometheus, for giving people fire without asking Zeus first. Zeus gave Pandora a little box with a big heavy lock on it. He made her promise never to open the box. He gave the key to Pandora’s husband and told him to never open the box. Zeus was sure that Epimetheus' curiosity would get the better of him, and that either Epimetheus or his brother would open the box. Pandora was very curious. She wanted to see what was inside the box, but Epimetheus said no. Better not. "You know your father," Epimetheus sighed, referring to Zeus. "He’s a tricky one." One day, when Epimetheus lay sleeping, Pandora stole the key and opened the box. Out flew every kind of disease and sickness, hate and envy, and all the bad things that people had never experienced before. Pandora slammed the lid closed, but it was too late. All the bad things were already out of the box. They flew away, out into the world. Epimetheus woke up at the sound of her sobbing. “I opened the box and all these ugly things flew out,” she cried. “I tried to catch them, but they all got out.” Pandora opened the box to show him how empty it was. But the box was not quite empty. One tiny bug flew quickly out before Pandora could slam the lid shut again. “Hello, Pandora,” said the bug, hovering just out of reach. “My name is Hope.” With a nod of thanks for being set free, Hope flew out into the world, a world that now held Envy, Crime, Hate, Disease, Hope and now Geocaching. I'm supprised your still reading this little story... Are you curious about opening my pandoras box? Well why not take your first step, find your GPS, and gather your best cachers and open this mysterious BLACK box... Sk8erfamily
