The establishment of a business of the Osaka streetcar is in 1903.
The streetcar accomplished development as citizen's means of transportation afterwards.
It was route total extension about 116km (1945), number of the annual deferred passengers approximately 522 million in the golden age (1943)
However, it was removed all in 1969 by urban traffic circumstances and closed the history for 66 years.

大阪市電の創業は、明治36年（1903）です。
その後市民の足として発展を遂げました。
最盛期には路線総延長約116km（昭和20年）、年間延乗客数約5億 2,200万人（昭和18年）でした。
しかし都市交通事情から昭和44年にはすべて撤去されて66年に及ぶ歴史を閉じました。
