Well, finally came to the finale of my "Don't fear the REAPER" cemetery series. Originally started out wanting to place just a few dozen caches in cemeteries and just got carried away; apparently placing caches is just as fun as finding them.
Originally wanted this series to end at a few cemeteries way out in Wallace County, but just did not want to drive all that way if I needed to pull maintenance on any of them. This cemetery and #74 always seemed to catch my attention, so, thought it was befitting to end the series locally (within 1 hours drive time of home).
Anyway, in order to reach this emetery travel east/west out of Lecompton on Woodson Road/N 2100 Road. You should see a sign reading "Maple Grove Cemetery". Turn south onto 425 Road and travel roughly 1/2 mile. The road splits this cemetery into 2 portions.
Google maps and ground-speak maps have this cemetery labeled as "Lecompton". However, on-site signs read "Maple Grove" so that is what I went with.
Should not have to say this, but please replace cache as found in order to protect it from the local critter-muggles. BLUE in color and base of tree behind chunk of bark with rock in front to hold bark in place.
While in the area, be sure to see the historical sites in the town of Lecompton, KS.
Remember to please follow any/all rules/regulations that may be posted and that we have all read on other page write-ups concerning cemeteries.
