Il Palio del vecchio mercato è una manifestazione che si tiene sin dal 1990. La prima domenica di settembre le contrade di Montebelluna (Biadene, Busta, Caonada, Centro, Contea, Guarda, Mercato Vecchio, Pederiva, Posmon, San Gaetano e Sant'Andrea) si sfidano in una gara a squadre tirando un carro agricolo carico di prodotti tipici, lungo il percorso che dal Municipio porta a Mercato Vecchio (quasi due chilometri in salita): è la strada che un tempo i mercanti dovevano faticosamente percorrere per arrivare a vendere la loro merce al mercato che si teneva nella località.
Dal 2000 è stato anche istituito l'Europalio, manifestazione interna a quella del Palio in cui gareggiano le città gemellate con Montebelluna contro una squadra di montebellunesi.
La cache è nascosta nei pressi di Piazza Colonna, tappa finale del Palio. Portatevi una penna.

The cache is hidden near the town hall, the place of departure of the Palio del Vecchio Mercato.
The "Palio of the Old Market" is an event that is held since 1990.
