Okay so I finally decided to put a cache out into the world and after seeing many hides and great trails I had to think about how I was going to do this. A lot of factors went into this (How, Where and Why I hide it). Since this is my first cache the story here may be a bit long. I apologize ahead of time for the improper spelling, incorrect grammar and all that stuff we were supposed to remember from our days in school.
So the story begins……A few years ago I really got into fishing and fell in love with the sport. I knew starting off late in life with fishing it would have me with disadvantages as I tried to compete with my more experienced friends. They knew how to fish, what lures to use, and what the fish was and where to fish.
At the beginning, I wanted to know everything about fishing. I would research everything on the subject from lures to species. I also, over the past few years, picked up a few tips, bought tons of lures, a few rods, and eventually a John Boat, since fishing from the shore sucked.
So one day, when I was looking up information on a lake, I came across something called Geocaching. I started reading about what it was and within minutes I was getting into another hobby. I love how it has brought me to places that I never would have visited. I have enjoyed the stories behind many of the caches. And I have also noticed that some are near many fishing locations, so thank you for those.
Now it has come time for me to hide my first cache so I decided to merge my two hobbies. I wanted something special, something I hope will be somewhat challenging and of course a way of sharing others with a few fishing spots for their enjoyment. I chose this location as I am a frequent visitor of this park during the spring. I am not exactly sure what is in this park but the main attraction, in my opinion, is the creek that runs along it. During the spring this creek offers some great trout fishing. For me, it’s a close to home, right after work spot. So, if you enjoy fishing, then I recommend bringing your rod, fishing license and of course your choice of bait. (Power bait or worms work best here). Maybe we’ll run into each other.
I really hope this cache does well and is well liked. I plan on placing a few caches along this creek to share with you some of my other favorite fishing spots. They will share the name of: Along the River
The cache is a log only container so BYOP and have fun!!!
Always use stealth and watch out for muggles!!!
