Geocache Description:

Welcome to the Yellow Trail at Oak Mountain State Park. It will cost $3 per adult to play here

The Yellow Trail, known as the Foothills Trail, is approximately 8 miles long (one way). It begins at the North Trailhead and travels at a low elevation around Lake Tranquility to end at Peavine Road close to the South Trailhead area (off Terrace Drive).

You seek a small lock and lock, round in shape. However, this is not your typical Caver H&G. Lets play a game, shall we? Time to test your geosense!

First things first, once you arrive at the posted coordinates, don't look for the cache! You should see a mature hardwood tree that has two small markers or signs attached to it. The upper marker is a 3 inches by 3 inches white sign with a symbol. The lower sign is an off-red rectangle about 2 inches wide by 6 inches tall. Sooooooo, regardless of where the coordinates put you, this is your "ground zero" for your game. Got it? Good!

For the aventurous types, as you look at the tree with the two, small signs, pretend that the signs are 12 o'clock high. You want to go roughly 160 feet at 10 o'clockish. If you measure it correctly, you might be inclinded to use your geosense and move some typical geo-pile items to reveal the geocache.
Now for you less adventurous types; you can do the boring thing and go exactly 157 feet at 340 degrees. Pretend you didn't read the preceeding line and sign the log. Please note - If either of these directions having you walking off a cliff. You did it wrong!

Lets have some fun... can you confess the manner in which you found the cache in your log? Can you?
