The power trail is placed along the Walkway/Cycleway Nature Trail constructed as a collaboration between the South Wairarapa District Council (SWDC) and the Greytown Lions. The trail runs for 1.5km across farmland and along the Waiohine River but extends further up the river beyond the trail if you go on to do GTPT8 - 11. The start of the trail can be reached from the intersection of North Street and Udy Street where it is signposted. The trail can also be reached from Kuratawhiti St if you want to do them out of sequence.
All caches can be reached on foot and some by bike and a few can be done as "park and grabs". Stock and electric fences may be present so take care. There is parking available at the beginning of the walkway or at the river if you come in from Kuratawhiti St. All caches are 35mm film containers, bison tubes or small pill containers.. They should all be easy to find but please ensure you replace them out of sight so others may enjoy them.
