River Scramble (Wairarapa)
Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions
in our disclaimer.
This cache is placed near the Waiohine River just out of Greytown. We thought that we would make this a bit harder than the usual "park & grabs" that are around this area.
The cache is a bison tube which is placed along a small trail down a fence line. The cache is NOT SUITABLE for small children. The fence line you need to walk down is ELECTRIC so may be on. You need to walk close to it so don't be tempted to grab it. The ground is uneven and may be over grown. The entrance to the trail should be easily found at the end of the 4x4 track. At the track end head away from the river. The track entrance and fence line is marked with a waratah. Walk on the river side of the fence as the other side is private land. The cache is a short distance down the track. PLEASE also note that there are signs of some new plantings - marked by stakes - so take care to avoid these too. If you see any convolvulus around these plants then please remove it.
The cache contains a logsheet only so PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN PEN
