Geocache Description:

The cache is hidden in the "Izumi park"

Once upon a time, was called the "Izumi"around here
This park is known as the old place names

キャッシュは泉公園に隠してあります。

昔この辺りは泉日向、泉田向、泉天ヶ谷という地名でした。
その名残りで名前が付けられました。

そもそも、「荏田」は「湿田」を意味するといわれており湧水のでる地域であったと推測されます。
湧水のでる丘陵地帯はこの青葉区近辺では今でも見る事が出来ますが
住宅街となったこの付近では、その面影はありません。
しかし、昔に思いを馳せながら住宅街を歩くと違った風景が見えてきませんか？
