The Baynes Gang from the Shaggytree Community set out to find the Wyatt Earp marble memorial. The cache and memorial are located 16 miles north of Blythe on Hwy 95. Head west toward the mountains at the "Giant Desert Figures" sign. The trail is narrow and sometimes steep but relatively safe. The view to the east over looks the mighty Colorado River.
A dozen OHV's cruised across the desert to find the Wyatt Earp memorial. Once there, GmB explained the fun of geocaching, we all signed the log book and Professor Joel wrote a poem about the adventure; what a wonderful way to spend New Years Eve.
PS This is not Wyatt Earp's grave site.
