Geocache Description:

Doyle's Corner lies at the intersection of North Circular Road and Phibsborough Road in the North Side of Dublin. It takes it's name from a pub located at the corner.

This location is as well known nationally as it is locally. Visitors to nearby venues Croke Park, Dalymount Park, Mater Hospital and Mountjoy Jail all congregate here.

The pub has been known to play host to some serious degenerates down the years. Albert Pierrepoint, a Yorkshireman who was the world's best known official executioner in the 20th century, was known to frequent the premises when in Ireland on official business, right up to the final execution in the State which occured on 20th April, 1954 in Mountjoy. Brendan Behan was also a regular, but many other hostelries could also claim his patronage. Likewise your humble CO.

The cache is a rubber micro, located on a short cul-de-sac opposite the shopping centre carpark, .5 m from ground level in the piping.
