This little cache is hanging around just north of the cairn that was placed here in 1982 and dedicated to the settlers of the community.
In 1882 settlers came from Great Britain and Ontario by rail to Moosomin. They then travelled by horseback, ox cart or on foot to homestead in the Rosedale District. Homes of logs and sod were erected and in 1889 Rosedale School District # 145 was formed near here.
