Geocache Description:

Parque de la Reserva is a park located in downtown Lima. You can spent a lot of time here.
A lot of Peruvian family's come here to enjoy each others company to explore the park and have lots of fun together!


Construction of the park was commenced as ordered by the president Augusto B. Leguía in 1926.
Park was inaugurated on 19 February ,1929 and was baptized with this name in honor of the reservist during the pacific war defended lima city. The story tells that during the war with Chile and in defense of Lima city a group of civilians were enlisted to join the army reserve who fought in the battle of San Juan and Miraflores (13 th and 15 th January,1881).

It has an area of eight hectares and is built in a neo-classical style. It was designed by the French architect Claude Sahut and is home to many sculptures built by the Peruvian artists Daniel Casafranca and Daniel Vásquez Paz.
Since then the Parque de la Reserva became in a place of recreation for los Limeños who found in their gardens and fountains, the space for the family outing.


The Circuito Mágico del Agua, located in the Parque de la Reserva, is a Amazing set of 13 ornamental fountains, Cyber Interactive and where the water, the music, the light, the pictures and laser effects, in perfect conjunction and harmony combine to introduce shows, unique and incredible, full of magic, illusion and fantasy.

After 3.00 p.m. a small entrance fee is required.
Don’t hesitate to pay this small amount , the park is more than worthwhile!

The cache container is a bubble blow tube holding a log with limited space for small TB's and coins.
