[ITA] Cèneda è il quartiere meridionale di Vittorio Veneto. Comune autonomo sino al 1866, fu unito a Serravalle per formare la città odierna.
[ENG] Cèneda is the Southern district of Vittorio Veneto. An independent municipality until 1866, was then united to Serravalle.
[ITA] Il cuore della frazione è Piazza Giovanni Paolo I, dedicata al Papa che tra il 1959 e il 1969 fu a capo della Diocesi di Vittorio Veneto.
Sulla piazza si affacciano il Seminario vescovile, il Duomo dedicato a Santa Maria Assunta e San Tiziano Vescovo, e la Loggia sede della Comunità di Ceneda. Questa, completata nel 1537-38 su progetto del Sansovino, dal 1938 ospita il Museo della Battaglia, che espone numerosi cimeli e documenti riguardanti la Grande Guerra e in particolare la battaglia finale di Vittorio Veneto.
[ENG] The center of the village is Piazza Giovanni Paolo I, dedicated to the Pope who had been the Bishop of Vittorio Veneto between 1959 and 1969.
Around the square stand the Episcopal Seminary, the Cathedral dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta and San Tiziano, and the Loggia, building of the Community of Ceneda. Completed in 1537-38 on a project by Sansovino, since 1938 the building hosts the Museum of the Battle, which displays many relics and documents regarding WWI and particularly the Battle of Vittorio Veneto that ended the war.
