[ITA] Le comunità cimbre del Veneto sono popolazioni provenienti dalla Baviera e dal Tirolo occidentale che, tra il 1000 e il 1300, si stabilirono in varie località montuose comprese tra i fiumi Adige e Brenta. Il loro nome deriva dal termine Tzimberer, che significa "boscaiolo, artigiano del legno".
Il villaggio cimbro di Vallorch fu fondato nell'anno 1850 da una famiglia proveniente da un altro villaggio già presente in zona, in Val Bona.
Si sviluppò fino a contare 15 abitazioni, che ospitavano una sessantina di abitanti; più volte incendiato sia nella Prima che nella Seconda Guerra Mondiale, fu abitato fino agli anni '50 quando le famiglie si trasferirono nei paesi di Osigo e Fregona, fuori dalla foresta demaniale.
Nel 2005 vi era rimasto un solo abitante residente.
[ENG] The Cimbrian communities in the Veneto region are populations that arrived from Bavaria and Western Tyrol between 1000 and 1300, settling in various locations between the rivers Adige and Brenta. Their name derives from the word Tzimberer, which means "woodsman, wood craftsman."
The Cimbrian village of Vallorch was founded in 1850 by a family from another village already present in the area, in Val Bona.
It developed to the number of 15 wooden huts, which housed about sixty inhabitants, and was burned several times both in WWI and in WWII. It was populated until the '50s, when families moved into the villages of Osigo and Fregona, out of the state forest .
In 2005 one local resident had remained in the village.
