Geocache Description:

A series of caches to memorialize fallen firefighters in Nevada.

Meigher, Ed – Henderson Fire Department (March 5, 1956)
On March fifth, 1956 Officer Edward Meigher left the station by himself to answer a fire call in Victory Village and had a fatal accident at the signals on Boulder Highway and Lake Mead Dr. in a collision with a large semitrailer truck. Mr. Meigher was immediately removed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
