Dooney a/k/a "UGG"
This cache is placed in honor of our first FurGrandDaughter Dooney. The dog got her name due to our daughter-in-law's fondness for Dooney branded handbags and accessories. But she also likes a certain brand of boots, so the dog was immediately nicknamed "UGG".
The cache is just off the east shoulder of Highway 581, about 25 feet into a small wooded area. It is on private property, and is placed with the permission of the owners, Mr. & Mrs. M. They have also agreed to be local caretakers. A short and relatively easy walk will bring seekers to the right spot. There is no need to wander further, or venture into any residential yards. Snow may add to the difficulty of the trek, but the cache itself is well off the ground and winter accessible and friendly.
Please park on the shoulder of Hwy 581, and do not block any driveways. This is a straight stretch of rural country road, there are often fast drivers - use caution and hang on to any small cachers.
| Logging Etiquette: Geocache hiders sometimes go through a great deal of planning to place their caches. As a result, they'd like to hear your feedback on whether you liked or disliked any aspect of the hide, or if you feel that some cache maintenance is required. Single word, acronym, or emoticon logs may be easier when you have a lot of caches to log, but it doesn't tell the hider or other finders anything about your adventure (or lack thereof) in finding the cache.
