A small sample of the Heaphy Track. Just before the descent after skirting the Kohaihai Bluff a small detour leads to a clearing with a picnic table. There is a beautiful view North over the beach. If you incorporate the Nikau Palm Walk allow about 2 hours return. GPS readings are not very good due to terrain and tree cover. so use the hint.
