Laurel Cottage Bathford Congrats Madrab FTF
This is a childhood memory cache for me as my grand parents lived in this beautiful 18th century cottage. My grand parents moved into the village when I was very young, we spent many sunny days in their beautiful garden and cold winters by the open fire with the shutters closed playing games.
We would often climb the hill behind the cottage to the “Pepper Pot” Browne’s folly. (Further caches can be found up here, including some 5/5 underground!)
I was quite surprised when I zoomed into Bathford, on the geocache map, that Laurel cottage was tagged as a landmark.
This is a beautiful grade 2 listed 18th century building on the high street overlooking the allotments, valley below and across to Banner down.
Laurel cottage is in the centre of the picture with white windows. The cache is just up the hill from the cottage so take a seat and enjoy the views.
