Geocache Description:

A cache by the entrance to Telemark.

At least two movies and several books are devoted to the story of the commandos and members the Norwegian resistance who sabotaged the heavy water facility in the Telemark region during WWII thus preventing the Nazis from developing an atomic bomb before the war ended. The movies led to a boom in cross-country skiing and demonstrated the use of white uniforms for wintertime camouflage.
   Easy parking on Telemark Road.
