Geocache Description:

NOTE: THERE IS NO TOOL REQUIRED FOR THIS CACHE. IF YOU ARE USING A TOOL, YOU'RE LOOKING IN THE WRONG SPOT. PLEASE DO NOT DISMANTLE ANYTHING.

There weren't any caches in the actual town of North Bend, Ohio, so I decided to put one out.

This cache was placed with the permission of Mayor Doug Sammons, so thanks to him for his approval.

There is quite a bit of history surrounding this little town, including being the home to President William Henry Harrison and the birthplace of President Benjamin Harrison. You can learn a great deal about the town by following the link included with the cache description (or go to this link directly: http://www.northbendohio.org/NorthBendHistory.html) -- for instance, North Bend was also the location of the first train robbery in the U.S.

The cache itself is a waterproof match container. It may sound easy to find on a gazebo, but I've done my best to make it a struggle for you. Nevertheless, I hope you'll enjoy finding it.

Don't worry about the video camera surveillance signs -- the mayor has approved the cache, so they know people will be looking for it.

I have included a waypoint for a historical marker for President Benjamin Harrison. It's a short walk from the cache. Also just down the road is President William Henry Harrison's Tomb and Congress Green Cemetary -- a very historical cemetary. There are caches, including one of my own, near there. Even further down the road is Shawnee Lookout Park, and excellent park with Ohio's longest-running geocache and some other nice caches as well (including another of my own ;) ) There is also another sign with historical information on it outside the town building nearby.

If you go toward Cleves, you can see and learn the history of the Whitewater Canal Tunnel, as well as find one of my favorite caches (no, it's not one of my own ;) ) -- the Whitewater Canal Tunnel Troll Guards.

I don't want to give away too much about this cache because I want it to be hard to find. I will say that I'll be surprised if it gets muggled.

I do believe you could get some trackables in the cache, but there is no pen, so bring your own.

As always, thanks to everyone who finds this cache and to everyone who puts out their own caches. You all are what make this hobby great.

FTF - Yueng-me/please
