2SBK17-Křížek Borečský

Díky sedmnáctému křížku série jste se nyní ocitli v obci Boreč, s hradem Bezděz v zádech. V obci stojí určitě za shlédnutí i další křížek na návsi, včetně opravené kapličky a selské brány. V katastru obce je i upravená studánka. První zmínka o Borči je z roku 1385, patřila po nějakou dobu pánům z Kováně, v roce 1505 se uvádí v listinách zemských, že Boreč patřila do majetku panství Košáteckého a později roku 1548 bylo panství koupeno králem Ferdinandem. Od roku 1615 náležela Boreč k panství Bezenskému a to až do roku 1694, kdy Jan Václav Bzenský prodal Bezno a Boreč panu Janovi Rudolfovi Zárubovi z Hrustiřan - hejtmanu kraje mladoboleslavskému. Ze záznamů je patrno, že Boreč patřila ke dvěma panstvím: bezenskému a všeliskému. V podanství Boreč zůstala až do úplného zrušení roboty - do roku 1848. Po tomto roce se obyvatelé obce mohli svobodně věnovat svému hospodaření s nadějí, že Čechům bude lépe ve své vlasti. Skutečnost, ale byla jiná, neboť v době nástupu na trůn císařem Františkem Josefem I. byly pohřbeny všechny naděje na práva českého národa. Teprve v roce 1918 ustavením Československé republiky byly dány českým občanům práva, o která dlouho bojovali.
