This Cache is part of the C.U.P. Project.
This cache is part of C.U.P, Clean Up Parks project, wich provides geocachers with a unique opportunity to help clean up their local parks and communities. These C.U.P caches all contain various trash removal equitment such as tongs, gloves and garbage bags. Before logging the find you are encouraged to pick up at least one piece of trash from the local area and post a picture of your self doing so on the cache page.
The Cache is hidden along the dykes of the North Alouette River less that 100m from parking. This section of the Aloette River a habitat for ducks, trout, birds and runs of Chum and Coho Salmon all of whom depend on these clean waters for survival. Unfortunatly, near the dyke access garbage is often dumped by the river and litter accumulates near the road. This important ecosystem needs to be protected and preserved!
