It is not the best camp site but would serve a similar purpose to the Track Cutters Camp on the South Cape Range, ie somewhere to pitch a tent when you can't make it to another camp. Water can potentially be obtain from a soak at the bottom of steps or back around the beach at Milford Creek. Better nearby camping/water is at Prion Boat Crossing Camp or Osmiridium Beach.

Cache is located in a hollow behind a broken-over tree as per pictures below. I had a hard time trying to find a hide in the area, if someone finds a rock to sit on top of the cache or can improve the hide please feel free to make improvements. Just let me know and I'll update the listing. I will be checking on the cache in about 1years' time and see how it survives. The cache location is about 30metres from the main track and I have provide a waypoint co-ordinate on the main track to walk from if needed. Easy walking over leaf litter to cache location.

As mentioned in the description of the Surprise Bay cache I placed on the same trip I won't spend alot of time describing the track as anyone doing it will have done a lot of preparation and the cache will just be a bonus to find along the way, I will say to take care in the Tea Tree bog areas going over the South Cape Range. A maze of tracks has developed around these bogs, some side tracks lead to dead ends or multiple paths. We followed one side track around a large bog, which ended, we then tried to push our own way back to the main track. Lucky we had our gps with a gpx file of the track in it as we managed to endup about 60metres away from the track. Also, if you don't want to keep ending up to waist deep in mud take walking poles and it's probably wise to wear boots not walking shoes as you will have less chance of loosing them in the bog. :) There is no real way to describe the mud/track it has to be experienced. Thus the 4.5 Star terrain rating.
