Nelligen Village, gazetted in 1854 and was an early settlement in the area. This cache provides the opportunity for a quick park and grab or the reason to stop, have a break and check out the history of the village. The nearby watering hole has lots of history and is worth checking out too.
Nelligen is popular with visitors who can enjoy water sports on the wide reaches of the river. Or you may like to wander through the village checking out the many reminders of the pioneer days. It provides a great place to stop and enjoy a picnic on the banks of the river.
