Geocache Description:

Several moons ago this preserve opened up when a multi was archived. It presented a Golden Opportunity for others to fill in the open space located within the Van Rensselaer Forest and Wildlife Preserve. Since this is a Letterbox Hybrid the cache is not at the posted coordinates. Simply follow the instructions below to claim the prize. Expect a mild bushwack to cache location. Follow trail in from parking till it bends south. From here push north to starting point.

You will know you are in the right place to start this cache
because you will be near an old wooden structure. From that
wooden structure work your way south east for about 120'. If you are
near a downed tree with some man made items nearby than the
cache is nearly in your hands. A little geosensing in the obvious
spot will reveal the cache. The pictures below were taken about
5' from the placement. Enjoy the cache and the find.
