READ THIS SECTION CAREFULLY
- If you log a find without following the logging requirements on the cache page your log will be permanently deleted.
- If you log a find without meeting the qualifications for the challenge your log will be deleted, but you may relog it whenever you do qualify.
- NOTE: Referencing Project GC as proof that you qualify DOES NOT meet the logging requirements for any of these caches. Project GC is not always right, and they have a disclaimer on their page stating that.
This is part of a series of challenge caches which are all about non-traditional cache types. Some will be easy, and designed to introduce new cachers to these other cache types. Others will be difficult for even the most experienced cachers. Most will fall somewhere between these extremes. Anybody may log any of the challenges, and may use new or old finds to qualify. The only requirement is that you meet the challenge shown below. The actual hides will be easy, the difficulty rating reflects the difficulty of the challenge. The terrain rating is for the actual hide.
This is non traditional challenge number 7. It is easy to slightly challenging. Please read the requirements carefully to be sure you qualify.
You may sign the log at any time, but you can only log the cache after you meet the requirements below.
To prove that you meet the requirements include a list in your log showing the 5 qualifying caches. Your list must include the GC numbers, cache names and cache types.
REQUIREMENTS:
I decided to combine my president series with my non-traditional cache series. To qualify for this cache please read the requirements below:
- Find and log 5 non-traditional caches that include the last name of a president. (5 caches needed to qualify for this challenge).
- You must use 5 different president names for your 5 caches.
- The presidents' name must stand alone in the cache name and not be embedded in other words.
- The use of an S or an 'S at the end of the presidents' name is acceptable (such as Tafts or Taft's).
- The caches you use do not have to have anything to do with a president, they simply must contain a last name belonging to a president.
- In any case where more than one president has had the same last name you can use that name twice (example: Roosevelt).
- Cleveland can only be used once since both Clevelands were the same person.
- All caches that are used to satisfy these requirements can be any cache type except traditional or locationless.
- Temporary caches that are part of an event may not be used, although the event itself can be.
To verify that I have met these requirements, here is my list:
- GCG735 Touring Clinton's Ditch Virtual
- GC2657 I can see Lincoln Virtual
- GC1ATP2 Nelson Kennedy Ledges State Park Earthcache
- GC1FG1T Buttermilk Falls (Cleveland Metroparks) Earthcache
- GC234RG President James A Garfield Monument Earthcache
That's all there is to it, have fun!
