Built between the reigns of King Rama IV and King Rama V the bridge is also known as "Saphan Baeb Wilanda" (Bridge style Holland). IT is a draw bridge with weights on one side to raise the bridge. This bridge was built based on pictures of the bridges in this style that were in Bangkok and Thonburi of old.
