Geocache Description:

Taking inspiration from the USS Alabama cache in nearby Mobile, AL my family and I have devised a lovely little cache which will lead you all over the Naval Aviation Museum looking for clues and learning a great deal of history about Naval Aviation. The museum is located on NAS Pensacola, but is open to all. Hours of operation are 9-5 everyday but Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. The starting location will lead you to the first clue. After that it is up to you find find the clues throughout the rest of the museum.  If you just try to beeline from clue to clue this might take you about 1 1/2 hours but we have not given you all of the exact locations for where to find the clues.  If you meander the museum picking up clues as you go then you will probably spend the better part of a day wandering this lovely facility.  Make sure you stop in the Cubi Bar to get a bite to eat.  Entry to the museum is free and all of the clues are located in free to access parts of the museum (no IMAX or Flight Simulator)  The difficulty and terrain of the cache reflect the time spent wandering the museum and not the actual cache location.  While all areas of the museum with clues are handicap accessible, the final location will be difficult for wheel chairs, think of it as about a 1 1/2stars for terrain.  That being said, I hope you enjoy the trip and the little lesson in history we have tried to devise.
