Geocache Description:

A series of caches around the hamlet of Breadstone with an Arabian Nights theme – individual episodes to complete the whole story!

see Breadstone Before Bedtime #1 for general notes about the series.

This cache is named after The Story of the King of the Ebony Isles, a chapter in Stories from the Arabian Nights retold by Laurence Housman and first published in 1907.

This story (typically not for the faint-hearted) features an enchantress who paralyses her husband, turning half of him into marble.  After much trouble and strife, she has to turn him back… with the words,

“Spell be loosed, and stone grow warm,
Yield back flesh to the human form.”

You are looking for a micro container - in keeping with the theme of being turned to stone...

The farmer here has blocked the style and set up fences in the field between here and #12. You can therefore use the track towards Billow Farm, cross over the stream when you get to the bridge and the farmer then expects you to walk alongside the stream, i.e. around the edge of the field, rather than diagonally across it as the OS map would have you do.

Congratulations to Zeusfaber for FTF
