Geocache Description:

In the summer you'd better be prepared to swim (or use a boat of some sort) to get this island cache. In the coldest parts of the winter the river is frozen well enough  to traverse but please do not attempt this cache over ice if you are not 100% sure of the safety of the ice. Bring a friend and be prepared (fresh snowmobile tracks are usually a good indicator but it's not perfect).

Once on the island the cache is fairly easy to find. It should be high enough to avoid the spring flood and it is winter friendly. Do not attempt to get this one in the spring though, unless you plan on paddling to it as the island is usually completedly flooded over. On either side of the river however is a great place to go fishing. My GPS is also not the most accurate so if its off let me know and I'll update the coordinates.

There's side streets with available parking all around and Carleton park. Just remember, BE SAFE when attempting this cache!
