This cache is located near the intersection of the west branch and east branch of the Rocky River. You are looking for a small camouflage container.
I decided to place my first geocache in one of my favorite spots. This cache can be found very close to one of the best views in the Rocky River Reservation. Take some time to look at the tremendous shale cliffs that have been carved out by the Rocky River. You will be able to see the intersection of the west branch and east branch of the Rocky River. These two branches converge here to make my favorite river. The Rocky River frequently helps me enjoy my other favorite hobby, fishing. You may be able to see some fly fishermen from on top of the hill. The rocky river is a great place to catch steelhead in the spring and fall.
The hike to this spot may be a little tough. The best place to start is at the Rocky River Nature Center located off the valley parkway. From there you can choose to go straight up the stairs to the top of the hill or you could take another walking path that will take you up more gradually. The stairs can definitely be a little intense for young kids or out-of-shape people like myself. Just take your time and enjoy the gorgeous views on the way up. There is also a Earthcache nearby called, Fort Hill. This will give you more detailed information about this geologic beauty. This geocache meets all Cleveland Metroparks cache listing guidelines.
The cache is in a small camo container. It should have room for small trades. I have placed a one dollar bill and a travel bug as a prize for the first to find. Good luck!
