Another cache of Peristerona Churches at the chapel of Ayios Antonios. Beautiful, quiet chapel welcomes you!
It is almost certain that the current structure of the chapel of Ayios Antonios was built over an earlier church that has been destroyed. The church is a single-nave vaulted and built entirely of stone. By the mid 20th century accepted a masonry exterior coating , probably because of the destruction of the stones, leading the chapel lost its traditional character. For this reason, on 2003, the coating removed to develop and maintain or replace limestone. Moreover demolished the newest bell and built a simple wooden without touching the Temple. Internally constructed a new temple on which placed new images from donations of the residents.
In the chapel beyond the festival on January 17th daily operations are very often commited.
