"Holy Trinity Cemetery" was previously know as Sussex Corner Cemetery. The history goes back to the arrival of the United Empire Loyalists that were forced from their homes after the American Revolution.
This area became known as Sussex Vale. In 1783, Mr Ebeneser Spicer arrived from Connecticut & Settled in Sussex Vale. In 1792, he opened Spicer's Inn.He in turn donated land for Sussex Corner Cemetery, also known as "Spicer's Field". Mr Spicer died in 1813, at the age of 63 & is buried in Spicer's Field, presently referred to as "Holy Trinity Cemetery".
Further information on the history of the area is available in The History of Sussex Corner, by Arie A. Ruitenberg.
Please be respectful of this area. Good parking. BYOP
