Ye Old Apple Tree (Canterbury) Traditional Cache
Ye Old Apple Tree (Canterbury)

This tree beside the road caught our attention because the cascading branches were laden with fruit. Closer inspection revealed an early variety which matures late January early February. The fruit has a pleasant flavour but quickly browns when cut or bitten into. There was no sign of coddling moth.
Did a child drop an apple core here on way to or from the school further down the road many long years ago?
Wind fall fruit on the ground may present a hazard hence an increased terrain rating.
The cache is a 400ml camo sistema containing logbook, stashnote, pencil and a few swops.
