Geocache Description:


This Cache is a tribute to those individual whom were Born in this Great City abut have impacted the world in one of Many ways.

I was born in 1869 to two Educators; both of my Parents taught at and my father was the first Principal Bluemont Central College.
I graduated from Kansas State Agricultural College with a Bachelor’s degree in Domestic Science in 1888.
Upon leaving Manhattan I taught Home Economics at several high schools around the Country before becoming the First Director of Home Economics at the University of Wisconsin.
Upon my death my Niece donated my 5,000 books to Kansas State College. My 600 cookbooks are still housed in the Rare Books Department at K-State Libraries.
