I 14 Capitelli della via Crucis sulla salita al Castello sono stati costruiti subito dopo l’ultima guerra per un voto fatto dalle famiglie di Vidor il 3 ottobre 1943.

“”Noi famiglie di Vidor promettiamo solennemente di erigere sulla salita al Colle del Castello quattordici capitelli che serviranno per il pio esercizio della Via Crucis, terminata la guerra, avuta la pace e la civica e sociale tranquillità.
Quanto sopra promettiamo di eseguire se Iddio, coll’intercessione della Madonna Addolorata vorrà concederci in questi tristi momenti di non esser costretti ad allontanarci dalle nostre case, di aver salve, da violenza esterna, le nostre vite e le nostre cose. Questo faremo con l’aiuto di Dio e sperimentata la sua infinita, paterna misericordia””

L’inaugurazione della via Crucis è avvenuta il 12 settembre 1948 con la partecipazione del vescovo di Vittorio Veneto Mons. Giuseppe Zaffonato e del Parroco di Vidor, Mons. Silvio Celotto con ampia partecipazione della popolazione locale.
