Zona de difícil acceso. Hay que andar por la ladera de una montaña con pendiente pronunciada. No es un caché apropiado para niños ni personas poco acostumbradas a andar por la montaña o que no estén en buenas condiciones físicas. Difficult access. You have to walk in a steep mountain. ¿Por qué ponemos aquí un geocaché?
El sitio que vas a visitar es muy poco conocido en Petrer y Elda, y aún menos conocido en el resto de la provincia de Alicante. Está situado en un barranco de difícil acceso debido al desnivel de la ladera de la montaña y al abandono que han sufrido los bancales.
Podrás ver tres morteros tallados en la roca. Estas cavidades se utilizaban para mezclar los componentes de la pólvora: carbón, azufre y nitrato de potasio. Aunque pueda parecer que todo está abandonado, en 2012 se anunció que se iban a realizar estudios sobre el uso que se le había dado en el pasado. Por eso os pedimos respeto y mucho cuidado con lo que vais a ver y su entorno.
Localizar este sitio nos ha hecho disfrutar mucho a jumigimo y sanet_alacant por eso hemos decidido poner un cache y compartir con los geocachers la experiencia. A vosotros el GPS os va a llevar al sitio exacto, será mucho más fácil.
Para que tengáis la sensación de descubrimiento que nosotros tuvimos no hemos incluido fotos, ni descripción de cómo acceder y no contamos casi nada de lo que vais a ver. Por favor es importante que al registrar en el loogbook de geocaching.com no deis pistas ni pongáis fotos que puedan hacer que los siguientes visitantes sepan lo que van a encontrar, ayudadnos a mantener el factor sorpresa.

Why is there a geocache?
The site you are visiting is very little known in Elda and Petrer, and even less known in the rest of the province of Alicante. It is located in a ravine of difficult access due to the slope of the mountainside and neglect suffered by the terraces.
You will see three gunpowder mortars carved into the rock. These cavities are used for mixing the components of the gunpowder: coal, sulfur and potassium nitrate. Although it may seem that all is neglected, in 2012 it was announced that it would conduct studies on the use to which it had given in the past. Therefore we ask for respect and careful with environment and all what you will see.
Finding this site made us enjoy and so we decided to put a cache and share the experience with geocachers. But the GPS will lead you to the exact spot, it will be much easier.
For you to have the feeling of discovery that we had we don't include photos, no description of how to access and also there isn't a description about that you are going to see. Please, when you'll record the loogbook in geocaching.com don't give extra clues or pictures that could make visitors know what they will find. Please, help us to maintain the surprise.

El Caché y su contenido al ponerlo
El caché
Para llegar al caché deberás andar 500 metros monte a través por una pendiente. Imprescindible ir con botas de montaña y mucho cuidado. Antes de ir a buscar el caché os recomendamos estudiar detenidamente los itinerarios de acceso (Mapas, Google Earth, etc.).
Las coordenadas corresponden al lugar de acceso al caché. Desde él debes andar unos 6 metros hasta el caché.
Se necesita linterna.
Aunque pueda parecer que está abandonado, en 2012 se anunció que se iban a realizar estudios sobre el uso que se le había dado en el pasado. Por ello os pedimos respeto y cuidado. Nada nos disgustaría más que ir a revisar el cache y encontrar todo lleno de pintadas como sucede en sitios cercanos :( .
El contenedor del caché mide aproximadamente 15x8x4 cm.
Para un intercambio de objetos divertido es necesario que seáis justos y no pongáis basura. Los caracoles y las piedras son cosas que nadie va a querer intercambiar y sólo van a molestar dentro del caché, mejor no los pongáis. Si no quereis intercambiar objetos no pasa absolutamente nada pero si lo hacéis que tenga aproximadamente el mismo valor o mayor lo que dejáis que lo que cogéis. No se debe poner en el caché comida (incluidos caramelos y golosinas) los animales podrían olerlos y destrozar el cache para conseguirlos. Los € tampoco son bien recibidos en el caché.
Por favor NO PONGAIS FOTOS DEL CACHE NI DE DONDE LO ENCONTREIS así otros podrán disfrutar igual que vosotros. Evitad comentarios sobre como llegar al caché o su situación exacta.
Se agradecen los comentarios sobre el estado del caché. Por favor si el libro de registro está lleno o sucede cualquier otra cosa por la que creéis que es necesario el mantenimiento no dudéis en escribirnos.

The cache
To get to the cache you must walk 500 meters across a mountain slope. It's much better if you go with hiking boots. Before fetching the cache we recommend studying carefully the access routes (Maps, Google Earth, etc..).
The coordinates correspond to the location of the cache access. You have to walk about 6 meters to the cache.
