Note: September 7, 2023- This cache has been adopted by rehobch. The cache has been updated to reflect changes around town, but is still upholding the basics of the virtual as intended by gpsfun.

Note: Dec. 8, 2023: Changes made to Stages 1 & 2 due to construction and missing sign. Final has not changed.

Note: May 30, 2025: Construction complete. Stage 1 back to original. No change to final.

Placing a physical cache in this area would be very challenging – mostly for finding a place that would not be stumbled upon by others. Even if this could be accomplished, the idea of other geocachers visiting the cache out of sight of passersby is unreasonable.

So this virtual cache will take you to a few spots where verification is possible. The locations can be easily reached on foot.

       Birth year: 3rd digit from left = A
       Year he died: 2nd digit from left = B
Stage 1: N38 43.060 W75 04.578 – Plaque- In memory of ___ ___ (up the stairs)
       Birth Year: 3rd digit from left = C
Stage 2: N38 43.006 W75 04.573 – Surf Safety Line Historical Marker
       Delaware Public Archives Date: 4th digit from left - 1 = D
       Bottom right corner SC #: 3rd digit from left = E
Stage 3: N38 42.920 W75 04.556- Date on sign- Since ____ :1st digit from left plus 3rd digit from left = F
       Same sign- Add 1 to F = G
Stage 4: N38 42.976 W75 04.900 - Building
       Address on front door: Add the 3 digits together minus 13 = H
