GeoTahoeSouth High Sierra Adventure II Event Cache

This cache has been archived.

4Woodys: Thank you to everyone who attended the event. We plan on being here again next year for the same weekend in June. The Eventbrite site which is controlled by John Chen is still not set up for next year's registration, but you can contact me if you have any questions.

Also, please check back now and then to see if the last two caches get released. They both need to be relocated but I can't move 1317 until the area opens up from re-construction. 1320 needs a new final and has to be done when there are no muggles on the pier, no so easy during peak tourist season, but I'm going to try.

Hope to see you all next year!

Geocache Description:

Welcome back to one of the largest Geocaching events in the West. This event features 50 hidden cache locations in and around the magnificent Lake Tahoe Basin. You'll experience the South Shore area of Lake Tahoe’s scenic beauty, outdoor recreation, and high altitude fun. Be sure you don't miss out on this unique Bi-State event that attracted cachers last year from as far away as Guam.

The event will be FREE to attend!

BE SURE YOU REGISTER ON THIS LINK TO ATTEND. (visit link)

This year's two day High Sierra geocaching extravaganza is scheduled for June 22nd & 23rd and is hosted by Geoteaming and Team GeoTahoeSouth. So come join us and fellow cachers from near and abroad at the South Lake Tahoe Recreation and Swim Complex; 1180 Rufus Allen Blvd. & Bijou Park; 1201 Al Tahoe Blvd., South Lake Tahoe, CA 96150. You will need to be present each day at 8:30 AM to download the Waypoints, then you can start your caching journey into one of the most beautiful places on earth.

Dogs are allowed on a leash at most sites except at the Recreation and Swim Complex. Also, don't miss out on attending the pre-event pizza night (visit link)

Difficulty and terrain levels will vary at the selected cache locations for this event and are not related to the start/end location. Dogs are only allowed where signs are posted. We hope to have all 50 caches released the following week on the Geocaching web site.
