I have decided to archive this puzzle as the missing container was a handmade one themed to the puzzle (a plastic race horse containing the logbook)
The puzzle had a few clues on the cache page - the title 'in a tree' is an anagram of Aintree
The published icon is at the 'horse and jockey' pub
The clues are the name of a Jockey followed by the year of the Grand National at Aintree
To solve the puzzle you needed to find out what place the jockey came in the race on that year.
