This geocache is being looked after by Daisy's Mum and Dad who live nearby. It has been placed here to bring attention to this old bridge, which is the oldest standing concrete bridge in England. Axmouth Old Bridge is a scheduled ancient monument which was opened in 1877. Your visit to our cache is at Seaton which is a seaside town in East Devon that sits on the 96 mile-long Dorset and East Devon Jurassic Coast. Seaton faces onto Lyme Bay to the West of the mouth of the River Axe, with red cliffs to one side, and white cliffs on the other. A sea wall provides access to the mostly shingle beach, which stretches for about 1 mile, and a small harbour path makes it wheelchair and pushchair friendly. There are shops and cafes, and great views. Birdwatching, sea fishing and beachcombing are all popular local activities. Children will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult as there is a road by the cache.
Well done Stuey for getting there first!
