A circular walk of approximately 2.5 miles, containing 12 caches, on footpaths and quiet country lanes. There is a short stretch between 11 & 12 where you need to walk alongside the B1077 which can be busy and traffic does travel fast but the verges should be wide enough to walk on. The starting point is at the "Old Queens Head" pub which is now a house and there is a large layby here to park in, although it is sometimes popular during the day for drivers to have a snooze!
This walk is where, as a child, I used to exercise my horse (hence Great Ellingham Gallop), we used to enjoy walking and trotting around the country lanes and then having a good old gallop along the path at the side of the field.
Please be very careful to replace the cache in exactly the same place as found in order not to spoil it for others and please use the suggested waypoint for parking as there is nowhere to park along the country lanes.

From No 2 continue to waypoint, here you will find a footpath sign. The path either goes straight across the field, or (the path we use) turns left across the field, this is the shortest way to get across the field and then we walk along the edge of the field beside the ditch - apologies, the farmer does not appear to be maintaining the footpaths. There is no need to go through any "No Public Access" signs
