Hooligans are known for being associated with rioting, vandalism and bullying. The word coined after one Patrick Hooligan, who was a bouncer at a popular night club in London. He was also known to be a thief and from that point on, being a "thug" or "criminal" was termed "hooliganism." Another great Irish word that couldn't be left out of our fun little St. Patty's day tribute!
