This geocache brings you to the South end of Foley's Antique Rose Trail. It is a bison tube with a log only. Please BYOP.
Foley's Antique Rose Trail has hundreds of lovely roses which line it. It is a public walking trail that winds through the heart of Foley following the path of the old railroad lines. Antique roses, which are disease resistant and well suited to our subtropical climate, are presented in chronological order with signage that identifies each plant species and the year it was propogated.
The City of Foley invites you to walk the rose trail and enjoy the beauty and the fragrance of heritage roses. Roses are in bloom during all but the coldest months of the year, and the natural beauty of the gracefully landscaped trail will inspire you all year long. Besides the beautiful roses, there are some lovely trees, bushes, and even a few gazebos in which you can rest or eat a snack.
Now go find that bison tube and if you figure out which type of leaf is on the tree nearby, please be sure to inform us in your log entry!
