Geocache Description:

Whilst enjoying a leisurely walk around this park you will hopefully enjoy the views and local wildlife.
Please beware that snakes are around in summer.
Spring is the prime time with wildflowers in abundance.
There are other caches in this park to locate on your travels.

I am putting this cache out in honour of my twin sister 'Gwen' a member of The X-trailers.
As it is our our 60th birthday on the 4th.
I will always remember our teenage years together

From 1966 until 1971 we lived just down the hill from this cache .
It was our teenage years and filled with many memorable times.

Staying up late listening to music and sharing a room . We went to Modbury High until 1968 when I moved to Birdwood High .
Gwen started work the next year.

We played Tennis for Tea Tree Gully and Hope Valley in summer and Netball over winter months.
Dad coached us in both sports whilst mum umpired.
We met a young man named Peter playing tennis with dad and he  played important roles in both our lives.
I ended up marrying his brother Kurt . And as twins quite often do the same things we were no exception. We married brothers in a double wedding
During the school holidays mum took us walking through Anstey Hill and we picked spider orchids , bulldogs and other native flowers.

We attended a few dances in the local hall on saturday nights before we talked our parents into letting us use the garage as a mini disco.

Of course the music of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Normie Rowe ,Masters Apprentices and other music of the time could be heard .
Our school friends loved it.

During that time we entered a mini skirt contest in Tea Tree Gully with our sister and mum.
Gwen won her age and mum hers.
We had a very modern mum.

Dating boys, falling in  love , and getting married seemed to bring us closer together.
Living and laughing together we shared our life of ups and downs.
.
I can truly say I'm glad my mum dreamt she would have twins one day and that came to reality on that february day.

                                              Happy Birthday Gwen
