The second " A Brew with a View" event at various scenic locations.
Meet up at the given co-ordinates at 12.00 hrs Saturday 9th March 2013, for a drink and a chat with some great views (not always guaranteed) and a good chat about tupperware (always guaranteed), finish at 13.00hrs.
Elevation - 1340ft
There will be a log book to sign, and First to find will be awarded to the cacher who's log has the best photograph of their trip to this remote summit. I will ask a third party to adjudicate, but the photo must have evidence, properties that it was taken on the day of the event.
The idea of these events is part of an ongoing Jurassic Parkinsons quest to encourage Geoachers up them there hills, our New years resolution is "Quality not Quantity". We are selecting remote rarely visited locations with some great views, with a different location planned for each month.
I fully accept that its not everyone's cup of tea, a lot of hard work for just one smiley, but I think it certainly sorts the men from the boys.
You will need to bring your own flask of tea/coffee, and for some a Jet boil or MSR stove.
This location is fairly remote, exposed to the elements and can be very boggy in winter so not wanting to teach some to suck eggs but a sturdy pair of boots, gaiters, waterproofs etc are recommended.
