This is this wild intersection on the way to the GrandPalace or to the Giant swing. Called Si Kak Sao Ching Cha. Home of watch and clock stores and no pavement to speak of so BE CAREFUL.
Bangkok was a city of people walking, being carried and the odd elephant wandering about, the City was designed for carts and foot traffic not modern day vehicles so when the car takes over the pedestrians need to learn to get around. One sees this all over Bangkok and it is an important lesson for visitors. Cars are made of metal and people are no and the car will win every time. Cars also rule the road so always be aware and look about and if you are from a place where they drive on the right hand side then please be doubly aware that you most likely are looking for traffic the wrong way!!! So look both ways!!
